What is a FUE punch?
A FUE punch is the hollow cutting instrument used in follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplantation. It scores the skin around a follicular unit so the graft can be lifted from the donor area, and its diameter and working length are chosen to match the graft caliber and follicle depth of the patient.
Garry Fue Punches are crafted from Japanese Steel (Garry J-Steel). The range covers 5 inner diameters (Ø 0.7, 0.75, 0.8, 0.85 and 0.9 mm) and 5 working lengths from 2.5 to 5.0 mm, 25 order codes in total. Every punch is manufactured in Türkiye and inspected individually before it ships.
All instruments in this family are designed and made by GARRY Medical, a hair transplant instrument manufacturer in Türkiye, and supplied direct to clinics and dealers.

How to choose a FUE punch diameter
- Ø 0.7 and 0.75 mm: fine calibers and single-hair follicular units
- Ø 0.8 mm: the standard middle of the range for mixed grafts
- Ø 0.85 and 0.9 mm: fuller multi-hair units and coarse calibers
Working length follows follicle depth for the population you treat. Most teams stock 2 or 3 diameters and select per donor; send your typical graft mix with the quote request and we will suggest a starting configuration.
Material and sterilization
Punches are crafted from Japanese Steel (Garry J-Steel), machined and individually inspected in Türkiye. The material is stated on every product page.
Reprocessing: rinse immediately after the session, ultrasonic-clean in a neutral-pH detergent and steam-sterilize at 134 °C. Clean the lumen by flow rather than with wires or brushes, and store the punch in its autoclavable case.
Micro FUE and long hair FUE

Precision in FUE extraction
In FUE, each graft is scored and lifted one at a time, and the punch is chosen to follow the follicular unit: its inner diameter to the graft caliber, its working length to the follicle depth. Garry Fue Punches come in 0.05 mm diameter steps and 5 working lengths, so a team can match the punch to each patient rather than to a single standard size.
Sharpness and consistency
The Garry Fue Punch has a serrated cutting tip. Before it ships, each punch is examined under magnification: the cutting edge for sharpness and uniformity, the tip for a clean, consistent cut and the lumen for patency. Every size has its own order code and one defined specification, so a reorder of the same code is made to the same specification as the first delivery.
Manufacturing tolerances
Every size is machined to its own technical drawing. The diameter and working length of each punch are measured and matched to its catalog size and order code before release. Tolerance values are not published on the site; ask for them with your quote request and we answer in writing.

- Cutting edge: examined under magnification for sharpness, uniformity and the absence of burrs or defects
- Geometry: overall geometry, window design and tip profile checked against the technical drawings
- Surface finish: shaft and head inspected for surface finish, smoothness and visual defects
- Function: the lumen checked for patency and the tip for a clean, consistent cut
- Size verification: diameter and working length measured and matched to the catalog size and order code

Garry Fue Punches are intended for graft extraction in FUE hair transplantation, for use by qualified hair transplant professionals. The finer diameters are typically chosen for single-hair follicular units and fine calibers, the larger diameters for multi-hair units and coarse calibers. For no-shave procedures, the Long Hair Fue Punch is designed for extraction with the hair shaft intact.
